Use The
Following Recipes For Personal or Gift Giving...
I
create beautiful jars and bottles to hold my natural skin
care products made from the recipes below and which
were generously shared by SpaIndex.com (see below).
They're fun to give as family gifts with a little tag stating the shelf
life and the recipe so that whoever I give one to can made the
product if they like it.
Since each gift must be used within a short span of time, you have to make sure the recipient of your natural skin products knows that they must be used right away.
Please insure the containers or jars you will be using are sterile by boiling them in hot water. This will help prevent contamination of your finished product, which could lead to spoilage.

I am thankful to have the following list of healthy and skin rejuvenating recipes to share with you courtesy of www.SpaIndex.Com: Guide To Spas unless otherwise noted. *See important information at the bottom of the page.
SKIN CARE RECIPES:
SUNBLOCK
Our esthetician experts say "If you can see your shadow, you need sunblock." However, did you know the active ingredients in sunblock often dissipate after the season? So, always use a sunblock, but, don't purchase in bulk or save that last little bit in the bottle for next season. Buy as you go, in order to always have a fresh batch, or, make your own.
Note: This recipe will leave a white nose "lifeguard style."
1 Tbs zinc oxide
1 1/2 tsp light sesame oil
1 Tbs rosewater
Mix together the zinc oxide and sesame oil. Heat the mixture gently,
using a double boiler, and stir well to mix. Remove from heat and
slowly add the rosewater, as you continue stirring. Allow to cool
completely, and store in a clean container with a tight lid, in the
fridge. Yield: 2 oz. Keeps: Up to 10 days in the fridge.
SKIN CARE RECIPES:
TOMATO
BLEMISH REMEDY
1
tomato, ripe, chopped
1
tsp. lemon juice
1
T instant style oatmeal or old fashioned rolled oats
Blend all ingredients until just combined, in a paste. Apply to blemished skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay in place. Leave in place 10 minutes. Remove with damp washcloth, and rinse and tone.
SKIN CARE RECIPES:
HAIR
REMOVER - BODY
SUGARING
Juice
of 1/2 a
lemon
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
cornstarch
clean cloth cotton strips
wooden stick or spreader
Dust the area to be waxed, with cornstarch. Combine the first three ingredients in a clean glass bowl, and microwave for two minutes. Stop and stir your sugar mixture every 20-30 seconds. Let it cool to a comfortable warmth, and, using a wooden stick, spread a very thin layer onto your clean skin. Immediately cover the mixture with a strip of cotton fabric. Briskly stroke the strip several times in the direction of the hair growth, and then, pull the skin taut, and quickly rip away the cotton strip, against the direction of hair growth. As you proceed, you may need to reheat your sugar mixture in the microwave to keep it warm. Do not boil it or overheat as you could easily burn your skin.
