Anti-Aging Quotations

Fun Anti-Aging Quotations and skin health links to help women and men everywhere get inspired for good skin health. Rather than feeling badly about having pale skin, you can embrace your skin color no matter what shade it is and keep it healthy!

I grew up within a family of olive-skinned people who never let me forget that I was pale and needed to do something about my "ugly" skin.  I felt badly until one day I saw a woman with leather for skin from spending hours in the sun.  That's when I decided to keep a deaf ear to what my family members were saying. I would rather have healthy skin than damaged skin that could even shorten my life.

I hope that if you have pale skin, you won't allow others to pressure you into harming your skin and your health.  To help you do that, I've created this section that will inspire you to accept the skin you were born with and keep it healthy.  Keep reading for more information about healthy skin.

Love Your Own Skin and Keep It Healthy

From the Skin Cancer Foundation we have their cute video, which goes hand in hand with their new theme, "Go With Your Own Glow."  Click here to view the video at right.

As a fair-skinned person born into an olive complected family I got a lot of flack for "looking pale." I used to tell them, "hey, it wasn't my fault.  I was just born this way," but the critical remarks continued with the encouragement to get more sun.

When I did, I would burn and get large boils on my skin, so I just stayed out of the sun and decided to be happy with who I was.  Now the Skin Cancer Foundation is telling others to do the same.  Bravo and many thanks!

So everyone, "Just Love The Skin You're In!"

Now, here's the point of their "Go With Your Own Glow" theme: It's Developed to encourage women to love and protect their skin, whatever its natural hue, the campaign is relying not just on health and safety information, but also on fashion. Once people stop associating beauty with tanned skin, we will really begin making headway in the fight against skin cancer.  -the Skin Cancer Foundation, by Dr. Perry Robins

Anti-Aging Quotations Found on their web page:

"Tanning as a life priority is over." "Skin that's not tanned is gorgeous." - Lois Joy Johnson, former Beauty and Fashion Director of MORE

"A healthy glow does not mean a tan and I think that's what we have to clear up. A healthy glow is your skin tone glowing. You -- looking luminous." - Sarah Brown, Beauty Director of Vogue

"Taking care of your skin is almost, in and of itself, a type of foundation. It's one step less in your makeup routine -- you don't have to cover up the wrinkles as much as you would if you'd spent 20 or 30 years in the sun."  - Jane Lockworthy, Beauty Director of W.
