These
Aging Skin Feet solutions will leave your feet soft and smooth.
You'll feel
great from head to toe! If you enjoy being pampered and
you can afford
regular pedicure treatments then you won't be interested in the
following
information.
However,
for
those of you who are busy and don't always have the time to make a
special trip
to the nail parlor, I'd like to share a quick means of easily
keeping your
feet looking spectacular, especially during the hot summer
months.
Daily
Feet
Care
Because
the skin
on our feet gets very dry as we get older, it's important we keep them
moist.
I have a couple of methods for doing this. Rubbing
baby oil on them
at night before you go to bed works great. I use Jasmine
scent. If
that's too greasy for you, there are a number of creams that work great
for dry
skin.
The
best one
I recommend is Neutrogena
Norwegian Formula.
I use this for my hands and arms because I have dry skin.
You can
buy a 2 ounce tube for about $4.00.
Regular
Pedicure (weekly)
Items
Needed:
-Pedicure
or
manicure set (ex.: Homedics set $19.95)
-Sally Hansen Healing Foot Cleanser (about $5.00)
-Dr. Scholls Duel Action Swedish File (about $5.00)
-Toe Nail Clippers ($1.50 - 19.95)
Clip your toe
nails in an even straight cut. Leave the top edge of the nail
above the nail plate or the Hyponychium
about 1/16th of an inch long.
Use your
pedicure set to push back the cuticle on your toes, to smooth the skin
around your toes, and to smooth and polish your nails. This
can be done in about ten minutes if you're in a hurry. You can relax
more if you have the time.
When you've
finished using the tools, clean them off if necessary, and use the
Swedish File to smooth the heels and the sides of your feet.
Do this over a covered surface or a magazine. You
can also use one of the new "As Seen On TV Pedicure Products"
shaped like an egg. It holds the shaved skin until you are ready to
throw it into the trash. I use mine during the middle of the
week or when I travel.
In the tub or
shower squeeze out 2 inches of the cleanser per foot and scrub gently
over each foot. Let set according to directions and then
rinse and dry. Your feet will feel moist and smooth.
Polish your
nails or leave as is.

Extra Luxury For Aging Skin Feet
Solutions At Any Age
Many
years ago my
children bought me a wax system for my feet and hands. It was
and still is wonderful. It's a great way to relax after a hard days
work or just for fun. My system is from the Homedic product
line. It's safe and makes your skin feel smooth and relaxed
($24.00 - $25.00). Try it, you'll love
it!
Note:
A daily shower will prevent rough, cracked skin on your feet.
Living Natural Face
and Body Cream
There are many products that are good
for your skin. You can also make your own from various foods
for your face, hair and skin. Here's a recipe for Mayonnaise Face
Cream for dry skin that you can use for your feet as well:
Ingredients
2 fresh egg yolks
1 C. vegetable oil (sesame,
safflower or sunflower)
1 Tbs. wheat germ oil
1 Tbs. herb vinegar
Directions:
Beat egg yolks in cold bowl. Add oil very slowly at first. Beat with
rotary beater, mixer or blender. Gradually add more oil. As mixture
thickens, add vinegar. Beat until thick. Apply to face with upward and
outward strokes all over face and throat. Leave on for 20 minutes.
Remove with damp cloth. Follow with skin freshener.
